Recommender Self‑Service
We have exciting news regarding Recommender. We’re officially launching Recommender Self-Service for clients who want to start using and configuring it independently.
Customize individual recommenders to your needs without help
This new option allows you to customize the recommendation logic by setting the Recommender behavior using different predefined models. You can also use it to prepare the entire front end of a recommender and customize its appearance and placement on your website. It allows you to publish recommenders on your own.
Recommender includes 15 predefined models ready for use, but you can customize each to fit your needs with custom business rules and preferred product characteristics. Keep in mind that some of the recommender models are more complex and can take a couple of hours to train and learn to function properly.
You will always receive a notification whenever a recommender is published. Recommender Self-Service options are available under the Recommender tab in the Luigi’s Box application. Select Recommenders setup under the Settings option to get started.
Implementation options with Recommender Self-Service
Recommender self-service allows you to configure the front-end and back-end of any recommender. Back-end integration offers an example of an API request for your new recommender. Front-end integration lets you select the placement and input data via scripts and clickable wizards that are easy to use, even for non-tech users.
Appearance customization
Appearance customizations allow you to set the widget shape and product tile with a WYSIWYG editor, choose custom colors and styles, and more. All changes are visible in real-time in the appearance overview, and you can also see a live preview before you publish your new recommender.
How to get Recommender Self-Service
Audit log
Some of you have multiple users using the Luigi’s Box Application, so keeping track of changes is important.
The recent addition allows you to do so.
The audit log tracks every change in the Luigi’s Box application so you can see who did what and when and maintain accountability for all actions.
Two-way synonyms
Now, you can define two-way synonyms instead of defining them one by one.
Previously, if you wanted to retrieve products named trousers when the customers were looking for pants and vice versa, you had to set up both:
- pants – trousers
- trousers – pants
Now, you also have the option to set up two-way synonyms, meaning all trousers are pants and vice versa.
And what about my current synonyms?
No worries. We automatically transferred all of your synonyms as one-way synonyms. You can change any of them to two-way synonyms in just one click.
For more guides on synonyms, see these two videos:
Share behavioral data between multiple domains
Luigi’s Box clients who use Recommender and own multiple domains can now benefit from sharing customer behavior data across all their domains.
This improves the quality of recommendations for individual domains as the algorithm is trained on more data.
What do I need to set up on my end?
The only requirement is that you have to share the same primary identifiers across all domains.
How do I start using this?
To start enhancing product recommendations with your data from multiple domains, contact support@luigisbox.com.
We have some great news for our Czech and Polish-speaking clients!
The Luigi's Box Analytics dashboard is now fully operational in two new languages for your convenience.
More languages to follow soon.
